Planning Your Visit
When to Visit
Burnside Plantation is best enjoyed from April through November.
  Length of the Average Visit
  A typical program can run
up to 2.5 hours.

 
  Chaperones and Group Sizes
  Chaperone requirements vary depending on program and group size.  Please call Burnside Plantation's Educational Services (610-691-0603) for details.
  Create a Schedule
  The educational program is pre-determined and can be tailored to the needs of the group.
  Visitor Responsibilities
  Teachers and chaperones must do the following:
  • Read pre-visit guide
  • Get chaperones
  • Group children
  • Provide color-coded name tags
  What to Wear
  School groups should wear casual, weather-smart clothes and sturdy shoes.
  Lunch
  Burnside Plantation does not provide lunch; however, grassy areas are available for picnic lunches (no tables).
 
  Cancellations
  The educational program runs rain or shine. A non- refundable deposit of $25 per day, per reserved program is required when booking (deposits are not covered by MORE for Children Program).
  Late Arrivals
  If a group arrives late, the program will be shortened to honor dismissal time. No refunds or pro-rated fees will be allowed due to late arrivals.
  Traveling Time
  Burnside Plantation is located about 1/2 mile north of downtown Bethlehem.
  Program Offerings
  Grades 3-12 :
A Century At Burnside Plantation - 2.5hrs. (max 60 students)
Grades 3-12 :
At home On the Farm - 1.5 hrs. (max 36 students)
Grades 3-12 :
At Work On the Farm - 1.5 hrs. (max 36 students)
Grades Pre-K-2 :
Sensing the Colonial World - 1 hr. (max. 24 students)
