Planning Your Visit
When to Visit
During scheduled concert or youth concert times.
  Length of the Average Visit
  Youth Concerts: 1 - 1.5 hours
(allowing for arrival and
dismissal time)
  Chaperones and Group Sizes
  For youth concerts, we recommend 1 chaperone per 10 students.

Arrive at Symphony Hall 1/2 hour prior to concert time Enjoy concert for 45 minutes Dismissal (allow for 1/2 hour)

  Visitor Responsibilities
  Please remain seated and quiet while the orchestra performs so that everyone can enjoy the concert. Feel free to applaud at the end of each piece. No shouting or hollering.
No food or beverage allowed in Symphony Hall. Enjoy the concert!

  What to Wear
  We recommend that you wear comfortable and casual school clothing.

  Lunch
  The Allentown Symphony does not have facilities for lunch; however, staff can suggest appropriate, nearby restaurants or eateries.

  Souvenirs
  Not available

  Cancellations
  For Youth Concerts, school cancellations are preferred one month prior to scheduled event.

  Late Arrivals
  You may be seated, at the discretion of the House Manager, between musical numbers.

  Traveling Time
  Conveniently located in downtown Allentown, the Allentown Symphony is minutes away from most locations.

  Program Offerings
  Written in 1936, Peter and the Wolf by Sergei Prokofiev cleverly introduces children to the instruments of the orchestra and The Steadfast Tin Soldier, by Hans Christian Anderson, is set to music by Bizet in a story of a tin soldier's love for a paper ballerina.  The musical excerpts of The Steadfast Tin Soldier use characters to mimic children's beloved toys.
