Lehigh County is investing over $100,000.00 of hotel tax revenue for the MORE for Children program for the 2009-2010 school year. The program which was piloted in the 2002-2003 school year continues to provide funding to sixteen school systems in the Lehigh Valley.

MORE (or Making Our Resources Educational) provides funds for educational school field trips to designated tourism venues using Lehigh County hotel tax revenue and funds from corporate sponsors.  During the past six years the program has provided educational class trips to Lehigh County venues utilizing educational programming aligned with Pennsylvania State Academic Standards.

Over the past six years more than 150,000 Lehigh County school students have enjoyed the benefits of this program.
